Get To Know The Daughter Mother Project Team

Judi Price, LCSW-R

I maintain a private practice in psychotherapy, supervision and consultation for individuals, couples, families, and professionals on the Upper West Side of New York City. As a therapist, I integrate psychodynamic, relational, attachment and systemic therapy with trauma-oriented techniques (EMDR, SE, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy) based in mindfulness and mind-body approaches. I am also a board member of TAASTTA (Trauma Awareness and Support through the Arts) and teach and present workshops on utilizing somatic techniques in therapy (When Words are Not Enough).

Since 1985 I have been affiliated with the Institute for Contemporary (ICP) where I completed training in family & couples therapy. At ICP I am an Intake Therapist, Supervisor, and Faculty of the Family & Couples Treatment Service as well as a founding member of the Daughter-Mother Project.

SYDNEY DIAMOND RATNER, M.PHIL., LCSW.

Sydney is a graduate of the Columbia School of Social Work and the Psychoanalytic Program of the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy. Prior to her psychoanalytic training, she received her M.Phil in Anthropology from Columbia University, where she did fieldwork in East and South Africa.

Her anthropological studies led her to a desire to understand people from an individual psychological perspective rather than the more generalized view of anthropology. Her experiences as an anthropologist gave her a profound appreciation and respect for differences among people.

Sydney maintains a psychotherapy practice on the Upper West Side in New York. Her clinical interests lie in working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety disorders and problems with separation. Her therapeutic approach is solution-focused and interactive.

As a founding member of the Daughter-Mother Team, she uses this approach to contribute to seminars and workshops centered on problems of separation and individuation.
